Sunset Park

Location: Sunset Park, Las Vegas, NV

For an easy time to get out of the city without getting out of the city Sunset Park is around 14 acres in surface area. Enjoy the serenity this park has to offer with the convenience of location. This park is home to various species of water fowl and fish. Recreation at Sunset park attract many outdoor enthusiast including, fishing, volleyball courts, tennis courts, disc golf course, basketball courts, fitness tracks and picnic areas, all on mature grounds.

Fishing is available year round in the pond. Stocked with rainbow trout weekly from November to March by the State of Nevada Department of Fish and Wildlife. Through the months of April to October channel catfish is stocked monthly. Other species of fish in sunset pond would include bluegill, redear sunfish,, black crappie, and largemouth bass.

Disc Golf is another great sport, Sunset Park has a 27 hole disc golf course located along the western edge of the park. I really need to get a group of people together and play this sport.

During the Fall Sunset Park is the host of the annual Las Vegas Renaissance Fair.

I visit this park frequently, if you would like to join me in park recreation click here to see when I plan on being at Sunset Park next. (Generally every Friday morning)
